Magnificamp

Magnificamp is a magnificent way to spend the summer!

Our day camps for girls entering Grades 1-6 explore a variety of exciting themes that encourage creativity, discovery, learning, and fun.
 
Sessions are offered in the morning (8:30-11:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12-3 p.m.). Sign up for two for a full day of fun with supervision provided at lunch, or add in an Athletic Camp to explore multiple interests in one great location! 
 
Week 1: June 9-13, 2025 
Week 2: June 16-18, 20, 2025 
Week 3: June 23-27, 2025 

REGISTRATION IS ONLINE ONLY AND WILL OPEN ON WEDNESDAY, FEB. 12, 2025. 

The last day to register is May 16, 2025. The refund deadline for Magnificamp is April 1, 2025. Please submit your refund request via email to Susan Faler at sfaler@maghs.org. A $75 fee per registration will be deducted from the requested refund. Camp t-shirts may not be available for late registrants. 
 

Week 1 | Grades 1-3

  • Chef Junior (A.M.)

    Future chefs will feed their cooking curiosity through hands-on recipes each day — with plenty to take home! Join us in creating colorful and fun recipes that will help campers find their confidence in the kitchen. We will emphasize how fun food can be as we explore dishes for every meal of the day. But that’s not all: Chefs will also create a fun cooking-inspired craft to go with their new dish! Ingredients will include but are not limited to milk, eggs, all purpose flour, and sugar.   • Field Detectives (A.M.)

    Become a super sleuth and begin noticing the significance of details in the world of science in places you’ve never thought about before.  Discover how each tiny organism plays a role in the whole environment and fits into the big picture of life and sustainability. Young scientists will be trained to make careful observations about living plants and animals, to discover how living creatures fit into food chains, and to examine webs and pyramids. Supply fee: TBD
  • Little Vet School (A.M.)

    Calling all animal lovers! Learn about animal care in a paw-some and interactive way at MagnifiCAT Vet School! Aspiring veterinarians will explore the world of animal care through a combination of crafts, activities, and hands-on lessons. Little Vet School will prepare campers to care for animals of all types, from furry friends to rambunctious reptiles. Join us for a purr-fect week of learning, crafting, and meeting animals of all kinds! Supply fee: TBD
  • Magical Mermaid Adventures (A.M.)

    This enchanting camp is designed for girls who have ever dreamt of exploring the mysteries of the ocean and embodying the spirit of mermaids. Throughout the week, campers will engage in a variety of creative, educational, and fun activities that foster imagination, teamwork, and a love of the aquatic world. From arts and crafts to storytelling and water-themed games, every day promises to be an exciting new adventure. Supply fee: TBD
  • Art Explorers (P.M.)

    Come for a week of exciting art experiences that encourage imagination and inventiveness. Using a variety of materials and techniques, campers will explore animals and nature through clay, printmaking, and drawing.  Supply fee:  TBD

  • Growing and Gaining (A.M.)

    Time to find your green thumb and grow, grow, grow! In Growing and Gaining, we will learn all about how incredible so many different plants are and how taking care of them is a way to take care of ourselves! We will be growing our own houseplants and learning all the different ways to help ourselves and our plants grow, and learn new ways to plant!
  • Myth Debunkers (A.M.)

    Prepare to solve mysteries of the unknown as you hatch and care for dragon eggs, hunt for giants, and debunk tales from years' past! Come along as we investigate, question, and solve mysteries and myths before getting caught!
  • Master Chefs (A.M.)

    Come to cooking camp with an appetite! Young chefs will discover the ins and outs of cooking and baking by learning new skills each day. In our kitchen, young chefs will create delicious food and explore new recipes that they can make again at home. During the week, participants will learn how to make desserts, breakfast, appetizers, and more! Ingredients include but are not limited to butter, eggs, all purpose flour, meat, and sugar.   • ArtRageous (P.M.)

    Let your creativity flow this summer as we create different arts and crafts throughout the week! Each day entails a new project using a variety of tools such as paint, paper, crayons, markers, beads, yarn, and sand. Some projects include tie-dye, paper mache, wearable art, jewelry making, and more! This camp is all about creativity and fun and is sure to excite any art loving fanatic! Supply fee:  TBD

    We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Magnificat's School of Magic for Muggles!  Students will experience a week of exploring the world that Harry and his friends live in! You will be part of the chosen few who will learn the secrets of Quidditch, Wizard's Chess, potions,  trivia, and more! Students will be sorted into their houses, will work together to compete for the house cup, and will even get to create their own wands! Don't spend the summer just reading Harry Potter, but experiencing it for yourself here at Magnificat's School of Magic for Muggles! Supply fee:  TBD

  • Nature Explorers (A.M.)

    Designed for curious explorers, this camp will immerse campers in hands-on activities that uncover the secrets of nature and inspire a deeper connection with the environment. Examine pond water under a microscope, discovering the fascinating world of protists. Learn to identify and appreciate birds, their calls, and unique behaviors. Dissect a flower to understand plant anatomy and pollination and make a healing salve. Discover the wonders of the natural world with our Nature Explorers! (possible supply fee:  $10)
  • Lemonade Day Camp (P.M.)

    Lemonade Day Camp is a young entrepreneur’s dream! In a small team setting, entrepreneurs will run a lemonade stand; decide which product(s) to sell; learn how to price, market, and sell the product(s); determine how to realize a profit; and distribute the profit to teammates and a charity of choice. The Lemonade Stand will be open for business on the third day of camp, so plan to stop by for some icy refreshment. This camp is based on the model created by National Lemonade Day.

  • Spy Training (P.M.)

    The life of spies is to know, not be known. Come to Magnificat High School this summer to learn what it takes to live in secret, move in the shadows, and gather information on unsuspecting targets! You will learn how to write and decode secret messages, infiltrate secret bases (Magnificat classrooms), and craft secret spy personas and disguises. By the end of camp, you will test your knowledge of espionage with thrilling spy-themed games and escape rooms!  Supply fee: TBD

    This camp is perfect for students who love to explore, create, and experiment. Students will explore the wonders of science through engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire future innovators. Throughout the camp, participants will: Launch rockets and explore the principles of chemical reactions and physics, build robots that move, dissect an eyeball uncovering the fascinating science of biology and anatomy, and conduct chemistry experiments, learning about reactions and materials in an exciting environment.Supply fee:  TBD

    Do you have a sweet tooth? Are you ready for a baking extravaganza? Join us this summer for a week of  baking fun. Each day of the week we will make desserts and bake some of our favorite treats!   • Swiftie Sparkle and Shine (A.M.)

    Calling all Swifties! Get ready for a week of creativity, science, and self-expression. Campers will immerse themselves in a world inspired by Taylor Swift’s music while learning how to make their own beauty and self-care products. This camp blends hands-on creativity with the science of beauty product-making, offering a unique way to celebrate Taylor Swift’s artistry while learning new skills. Taylor Swift-inspired bath bombs that sparkle and fizz. Designing and creating personalized soaps, lip balms, and lotions. This camp is designed to be as memorable as your favorite Taylor Swift songs!  Supply fee: TBD
  • I Heart Photography (P.M.)

    Campers will work with an experienced  photographer to obtain new ways of creating images while learning a wide variety of technical and artistic approaches. They will use a DSLR and other studio equipment, practicing a variety of techniques in the studio and in nature. They will explore Photoshop and work in the darkroom where we will combine digital techniques with traditional and alternative processes! Campers will come home with beautiful images as well as a lovely handmade portfolio keepsake. If you love photography, then this camp is for you!
  • Sweets and Treats (P.M.)
