Home of the Blue Streaks, Magnificat High School has a strong athletic tradition with 20 team state championships since 1985. Our summer athletic camps for girls entering Grades 1-12 draw on the expertise of head varsity coaches and their staffs to elevate participants' level of play in a variety of sports. Review the list and dropdown descriptions of each camp below; registration is online only and will open on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025.
The refund deadline for athletic camps is 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Please submit your refund request via email to Katie Galloway at kgalloway@maghs.org to request an athletic camp refund. A $50 fee per registration will be deducted from the requested refund. T-shirts may not be available for late registrants.
This clinic is designed for young girls interested in learning about the sport. Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher will teach the very basics and fundamentals of the shooting, ball handling, post play, and defensive skills through fun games, drills, and activities.
Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher will provide 5th and 6th graders with a basic foundation through skill instruction and player development. Through drills and live play, campers will learn the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, passing, and defense.
This 7th and 8th Grade camp is designed to challenge campers’ skill level and give them the opportunity to develop increased abilities in all areas of the game. Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher will review fundamentals, while teaching strategies and techniques of the game through competitive drills and live play.
Located at Mastick Woods Picnic Area in the Rocky River Reservation
Scott Troyan - Head Varsity Coach
This camp is for girls in grades 5-9 who have an interest in middle or long-distance running. Coach Troyan and his team will provide high-quality training and racing insights to help spark participants’ growth, physically and mentally. Participants will also learn valuable information on the subjects of nutrition, injury prevention, racing technique, and training knowledge.
Head Varsity Coach Oksana Fedorova and her staff will teach girls entering Grades 4-9 fundamental field hockey skills, including offensive and defensive stick skills, small game play, basic strategies, and rules of the game. Girls will be grouped by experience and age.
Recommended equipment: shin guards, mouthguard, eye guards, sticks (campers may also borrow sticks)
Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher and student athletes will work with participants — no matter what experience level — to develop and improve their skills, from driving and irons to chipping and putting. The mental aspect of the game and rules and course management will also be covered.
Develop and improve basic skills of the game of lacrosse, such as stick skills, passing, catching, ground balls, cradling, and shooting. The camp will teach the game positions, basic strategies, rules, and more. Girls will be grouped by experience and age.
Recommended equipment: eye guards, mouth guards, sticks (campers may also borrow sticks)
Scoop it up! Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game, including skill development, position work, and full-field concepts. Magnificat coaches and players will focus on passing, catching, cradling, and ground ball scooping skills. They will also teach basic
strategies, positions, and rules of the game through drills and live play.

The Foundry
Head Coach: Amber Douglas
This camp is designed for the beginning/novice rower and does not require any experience. It teaches safety, boat control, proper care of equipment, and correct rowing technique. Students will learn to row in team boats. Campers will be coached in sweep rowing. This camp is great for campers with a possible interest in high school rowing or want to experience something new on the water. Bring a pair of sneakers and extra socks. Must provide their own water bottle and sunscreen. Campers are required to wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) or pass a swim test. PFDs will be provided.

Develop and improve individual foot skills and fitness, while improving basic skills of passing, dribbling, shooting, and defending the attacker. Girls will be grouped by experience and age.

Magnificat tennis coaches will help participants develop and improve their individual strengths, serving up the perfect mix of match play, drill work, and strategy sessions. Focusing on stroke techniques, serving, footwork, and point play, coaches will share their love for the game!
